EXTRA CITY, SEPTEMBER 2007
In autumn 2007, Extra City presents a rich program of independent projects, with a shared interest in the fate of radical past experiments. A newly launched film program (organized at and with Muhka_media) sets out to re-evaluate the heritage of underground and experimental film. A closing conference for the summer program questions the past and present of institutional architectures and revisits the work of a Belgian pioneer, and two solo exhibitions deal with the way the history of social and aesthetic experiments is being written, questioning their status in collective memory and future imaginaries.
