CARPE DENIM COLOMBIA

Voor dit project, dat gerealiseerd werd in maart 2004, liet ik jeansbroeken maken in Cali (Colombia) volgens een eigen ontwerp.
De broeken hebben een unieke stijl; ze hebben een elastieken band en passen iedereen. Verder hebben ze twee grote zakken achteraan, een buidelvormige zak vooraan, en opzij een lange zak die over de hele lengte van de rechterbroekspijp loopt.
Toen ze af waren, dropte ik een groot deel vanuit een vliegtuig in de streek waar ze gemaakt werden. De overblijvende broeken zullen gebruikt worden in toekomstige projecten, zowel performatief als plastisch

CARPE DENIM COLOMBIA

This project, to be realized in March of 2004, involves the production of denim pants. The jeans will be produced in the city of Cali, in Colombia.
The jeans are of my own design, and have a unique style. They are one size-fits-all with an elastic waistband. They have two large pockets in the back, a marsupial style pocket up front, and a long pocket on the side that runs the length of the right pant leg.
Once the jeans are completed, I am going to throw a large portion of them out of an airplane in the region where they will be produced. The remaining pants will be used in future projects, both performative and sculptural.

MY COLA LIGHT:

Voor dit project zal ik cola light maken volgens een eigen recept. De cola zal gebotteld worden in grote flessen die voorzien worden van een etiket dat ik zelf ontworpen heb. Er zullen genoeg flessen geproduceerd worden om een zeecontainer mee te vullen, die ook wordt beschilderd met het cola logo. Tot de helft van de tentoonstellingsperiode zal de container in de tentoonstellingsruimte blijven staan, daarna wordt hij verscheept naar een bestemming in China. Wanneer My Cola Light China bereikt, zal er van gedronken kunnen worden. Eén palet met My Cola Light blijft in de tentoonstellingsruimte terwijl de container onderweg is.

MY COLA LIGHT:

I want to produce my own diet cola. I will make my own diet cola formula, and then I would like to produce and bottle enough cola to fill a sea shipping container. I would like to bottle the cola in large bottles. They will be printed with labeling that I will design. The sea container will also be painted like the cola logo. I will leave the sea container in the exhibition space for half the time of the show, and then ship the sea container to a destination in China. Once My Cola Light reaches China, it will be available for people there to drink. I will leave a pallet of My Cola Light in the exhibition space, while the sea container is in transit.
